Welcome back!

If you have mastered the single crochet and chaining by following through the Single Crochet Tutorial or making the Simple Twist Headband, I think you’re ready for something that looks a little fancier 🙂

So join me in making your own Berry Sweet Headscarf– the perfect summer/spring accessory. Though of course you could make it up in a nice autumn colour way for those cooling down months.

So let’s get started!

You will need the following materials.

Approximately 50g/ 1.7oz of fingering/sock/superfine/4 ply yarn.

A 3mm crochet hook.

A yarn or tapestry needle.

The terms used in this tutorial are US crochet terms. They are abbreviated as follows:

ch= chain

sc= single crochet

st= stitch

sl st= slip stitch

Gauge or tension is not a critical element with a mesh stitch design- the stitch provides a lot of stretchiness to the project.

Step 10 Repeat step 9. Total of 3 sc rows.

Step 11. sew in ends.
